It is with a tremendously heavy heart that we share this update, letting our clients and colleagues know that our incredible teammate Cindy Boddie passed away last week.
Cindy has been with MGA since day one, so she has been around for it all — the ups and the downs and the mundane in-between. And being here since day one, there is not a team member on board that she hasn’t helped train or who hasn’t been guided by her years of knowledge and procedures. The same is true for many of our clients, who have worked with Cindy over a number of years and have gotten to know her like family, just like we have.
The past several days, we as an MGA team have been sharing so many memories and moments through the years, and whether the discussions came across with laughter, quivering, or tears, they all contained a whole heck of a lot of love.
A Few Poignant Words from a Relationship That Has Lasted over Three Decades
When Paul and Russ set out on their entrepreneurial venture back in 1991 and started MGA, Cindy was their first employee. Considering that Paul is one of the two people who have been graced with knowing Cindy the longest here at MGA, we thought it was fitting to share some of his poignant words.
“My friend, Cindy, is one of the brightest, funniest, back-breaking, and particular people I have ever met. And, she is one of the best friends I have ever had. We have been through many life events together these past thirty years, and as tough as she can be on the outside, that shell protects the biggest heart you will ever know. Cindy could argue with you endlessly and brutally if she felt she was right (and often was), but she was also the most loyal friend you will ever have. She could verbally rip you apart, but God help anyone who attacked you as she was the fiercest friend and always had your back.
She has been a fixture at MGA for almost its entire existence and is one of the reasons we have enjoyed the success we have had. To my friend and colleague of many years, I wish peacefulness. And to those of us lucky enough to have known Cindy, we will continue to celebrate her as she would want. May her memory forever be a blessing.”
If You’d Like to Make a Donation in Cindy’s Honor, Here Are Her Wishes
We understand that many clients and colleagues want to know how they can further support Cindy and her family during this time. We know there will be a Celebration of Life ceremony in the future, and we will share more information on that as we receive it for those who wish to attend.
You can click here to read Cindy's obituary. You can share any condolences, memories, or pictures with Cindy's family via this page, too.
If you’d like to make a donation in Cindy’s memory, her family asks that you please donate to Lone Star Doberman Rescue. Donations can be made online via lonestardobermans.org or mailed to: Lone Star Doberman Rescue, PO Box 101782, Fort Worth, TX 76185.
The MGA family is strong and will always band together to support each other and be there to celebrate the good, the bad, the sad, and then the good again.
