We are excited to share that we have added four new, talented, and driven individuals to the MGA team this month! We always strive to take a proactive approach to our business operations, and this is another way of us doing just that. We are taking advantage of the availability of great talent to meet our clients' existing and future needs — always looking forward and planning ahead.

Meet our four new team members, from left to right, pictured above. We are excited to welcome them into our MGA home.

How to Attract Top Talent — It’s All Starts from the Inside

At MGA, we know that our employees are our most valuable asset. When you build a place where people want to work, you have energized and motivated team members. When you have team members who enjoy and believe in the business, they will offer your clients an exceptional experience.

In a nutshell, your culture is your brand. It’s a cycle that starts internally, as what you do on the inside will always reflect on the outside. This is key to attracting and keeping your top talent.

So, what are some ways you can start building that foundation and environment internally?

At MGA, we continually seek our employees’ honest feedback on the working environment we’ve created. Then, we take their feedback seriously and work to improve on the things they suggest — a real open door policy.

We also offer unfettered growth opportunities to each person on our team, as there is no “set in stone” path to take here. For those seeking advancement, we offer them the development and training necessary to get where they want to go. For those comfortable in their current role and not seeking promotion, we do not push that upon them. We take the time to understand each person’s priorities and goals, taking the time to develop and empower them within the Firm.

As of today, our office is open with a “welcome to return approach.” Therefore, we have a mix of people coming into the office (safely, of course) as well as people continuing to work from home. In this unique time, we have put a lot of focus on how to keep our company culture alive virtually. When you’re not walking around the office and having those natural interactions, it’s important to create ways for your team members to connect. We cannot stress this enough.

We recently put together a social committee and have been hosting virtual trivia nights, bi-weekly video-chat lunches, daily conversation topics on Teams (like #ThrowbackThursday or #MondayMemes), virtual bingo, and much more. If you’re looking for fun ideas to implement, please reach out to us. We’d love to share some of the things we’ve been doing — and that have been working.
