Where Do Things Stand With the CARES Act? Update as of March 26, 2020

Last night, the U.S. Senate and Trump Administration reached agreement on the CARES Act, a $2 trillion stimulus package that would be the third phase of the federal government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We've received many calls today from clients, asking how this new stimulus package affects them. The reality is, we are still a while away from actually knowing, as the bill still has to be passed by the House, signed into law by the President, and then government agencies have to flush out the details of how this law is going to work.
