A Message from Our Senior Leadership

To say that our world has changed over the last few weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak is an understatement. As cities start imposing new recommendations, our personal and business environments will be changed and challenged.

We want to share with you what MGA is doing to ensure the safety of our team members, families, clients, and community as a whole, as well as the steps we are taking to maintain business continuity throughout this pandemic.

We Are Prepared for “Business as Normal”

Concerning the April 15th tax deadline, it has been formally extended to July 15th for all individuals and businesses. We are closely monitoring all guidance issued and will continue to alert you of any changes.

We know that many of you visit our office during busy season, and we have made it easy to interact with your team at MGA using our variety of alternative options. These options include Zoom for video conference calls, electronic signature tools, and web portals to support the sharing of sensitive information and electronic delivery of tax returns. Should you need to get paper documents to us, we are continuing to receive mail in our office, which is being sorted and distributed daily.

This is the busiest time of the year for our Firm. It is tax season. Our focus is on ensuring our operations run smoothly. We will provide you with the timeliness and quality of service that you expect and deserve. We are prepared for “business as normal” or as normal as can be in these uncertain times.

Remote Services

MGA’s priority has always been to deliver superior service to our clients. To continue that level of service, we are taking precautions to protect the health and safety of our team and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic.

MGA has a robust business continuity plan in place and has taken the last few weeks to test it thoroughly. We’re proud to reiterate that our team is fully capable of working remotely in a seamless manner. Our technological capabilities allow for our entire team to work remotely for as long as needed. Your emails and phone calls will be answered as normal, but please understand if response times are a little longer than usual. Inbound mail will continue to be received by MGA and routed to the proper team member should these services remain in place. The bottom line is, your MGA team will be working to meet your needs and produce your deliverables in all the ways you have come to expect.

Again, these steps are being implemented to preserve the health of our team and to help curtail the spread of the virus. And, of similar importance, uphold our commitments to you and our community.

Our Midtown Houston Office

On Tuesday, March 17th, MGA’s workforce began working fully remote, and our physical Midtown Houston office was closed. We plan to maintain remote work arrangements until further notice, maintaining accordance with state and local guidelines.

Updates and Resources

We are continually monitoring the rapidly evolving situation and will provide ongoing news updates and resources. We are also available to help you with any logistical planning for your own business contingencies. MGA is your partner and is fully available to assist you during these uncertain times. Making the complex simple has never been more important.

The entire MGA team thanks you for your support and understanding during this challenging time. Our wishes are that you, your families, and your teams be safe and stay in good health.

Sincerely,

Russ, Paul, Brian, and Michael
